Accessing electronic resources

To access resources both on- and off-campus, click on the link to the resource and when prompted to do so, enter your Bolton Network ID and password. A minority of resources require additional steps which are indicated in the list of resources.

When you login to electronic resources you agree a number of terms and conditions which are available in full here. Some resources require you to agree to additional terms which you may see when you access the resource.

Our quick start guide to accessing electronic resources is available below:

Reading Lists Online

Reading Lists Online (RLO) is an online service that allows you to access module reading lists, and provides links to electronic resources from within that list where available.

RLO enables:

  • Access e-resources such as ebooks, ejournals and databases directly from the list
  • A direct link to the Library catalogue for availability and location of print titles
  • Google Preview for print titles if available

You can create your own profile in RLO which gives you extra functionality, such as adding notes to items in your lists

Use the search box below to find your reading list:

For further help with RLO, look at the following guides:

RLO is also available via Moodle. When you have logged into Moodle, you should see a "Study resources" on the top left-hand side of the screen. Find "Reading Lists Online" from that menu and access the service from there.
