Graduating UoB students throwing their hats in the air on the steps of Bolton Town Hall

Congratulations to all students graduating this year! You may be aware that your student account has changed to a graduate status due to the completion of your course, and you may also have read the automatic email sent out to say you need to return your books.

All charges incurred during the pandemic will be waived. Other items may still incur fines if they are not returned before they become overdue. You can return library items:

  • In person in the library using the self-checkout machines or at the desk. You can also use the external book bin near the Eagle Bistro to return books out of hours, but please do not deposit laptops here.
  • By post/courier. Please see our mailing address. If you are returning library items by post we recommend the use of recorded delivery and emailing us at Library@bolton.ac.uk so we are ready for your parcel

You can check the status of items on your account by logging into My Library Account. If you have any questions about the return of your library items, please Contact Us. In addition, keep us up-to-date on any changes of address, email or phone number you may have in the coming months.

We also recommend moving any files currently on your student IT account across to a personal computer or flash drive as you will not be able to access them after your account expires. At the moment you will be able to use your IT account up until the beginning of September after you graduate, but after that the account will expire.

Finally, if you want to continue accessing the library, apply for our Library for Life scheme to continue to use our resources and study spaces.

We’d like to commend all our final year students for their hard work during their time with the University of Bolton and wish them all the best for the future!
