This term we want to highlight some of our amazing print and digital resources for The School of Creative Technologies.
Creative Tech encompasses Special & Visual Effects, Computing, Software Engineering, and Games. The Library's Developer's Room has high-powered computers running software such as Unreal Engine and Unity - and the room is open 24/7 during term time.
We've set up a display of books and journals in the entrance to the Developer's Room, and we'll be using this to showcase some inspiring reads for Creative Tech throughout the year! On the display you'll find the latest issues of Computer Art, Edge, Make and Prosthetics.
Back issues of these journals can be found in the Journals shelving (towards the rear of the Library). We'll also be showcasing some great books from our collection - and there are lots of brand new titles on the way!
The best way to start searching Library resources is Discover@Bolton - and you can use it to find ebooks, journal articles, conference proceedings and newspaper articles on a whole range of Creative Tech topics! You can limit your results to find books in the Library or choose the Full Text Online option - and you'll get online readings you can access from anywhere.
Our Subject Guides also list further subject-specific databases for Creative Technologies
Databases can give a more specific subject focus and more advanced search tools.
We've got a great new database for Creative Technologies coming soon.... very soon! Watch this space!
Let us know what you think of our highlighted Creative Tech resources - you can send us feedback via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Or drop Academic Librarian Steve Crimes an email at SubjectHelp@bolton.ac.uk.
