The University of Bolton Library

Academic Liaison Librarian Team

Academic Liaison Librarian Team

We are responsible for identifying and meeting the information needs of academic staff and students within their subject areas, through providing subject-specific user and database support on a wide range of topics to help with finding and using academic resources.

We aim to support you in person at all sites, and online. You may also see us pop-up in to classes and at events held in Chancellors Mall.

Academic Liaison Librarians:

We help students with but not limited to the following:

  • accessing all aspects of library services, including induction and ongoing support throughout the year
  • finding and making the most of information from both online and print sources
  • correct bibliographic citing and referencing
  • research and study skills
  • online searching

You can book an appointment to see the Academic Liaison Librarians either in-person or online, subject to availability.

We help academic staff with support in teaching and learning at the University of Bolton in a number of ways:

  • ensuring the right resources are in place to support your teaching
  • providing input to ensure your students can make effective use of library resources

For more details about the range of ways the Library can support you, see our Services and Support for Academic Staff guide

Library Assistants:

We help students and academic staff with but not limited to the following:

  • help navigating the online and print Library resources
  • friendly helpful support on the main Library desk
