Festival Of Libraries 2022

Festival of Libraries logoFestival of Libraries 2022 is a celebration of Greater Manchester’s libraries, and takes place between Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th June, 2022.

As part of this University of Bolton Library is holding a ‘pop up’ event to celebrate and showcase Bolton Health Information Partnership.

On Friday 17th June 2022 between 10am and 2pm, we’ll be holding a ‘pop up’ event in the entrance area of The Peter Marsh Library at the University of Bolton. They’ll be representatives from members of the Bolton Health Information Partnership including

And of course the University of Bolton Library.

Come along to the event to find out more about these services and how they support local health information needs.  It’ll be a great opportunity to find out more about Libraries and Information services within Bolton!

Here’s a quick guide to what is happening at the ‘pop up’

Bolton Libraries and Museum Service will sharing general information on the libraries across Bolton, current and planned activities, and resources such the Borrowbox app. Its chance to discuss their current projects too, for example they are starting to develop a programme of activities for children with SEND. Including sensory sessions, story time with BSL, music sessions and sensory backpacks to aid engagement with museum collections.

Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service will be sharing information about services across Bolton and will have some freebies!

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust Knowledge and Library Service will be sharing knowledge and insight on:

  • Finding trustworthy health information online
  • Undertaking research
  • Information on managing specific conditions- such as heart disease and cancer. 

University of Bolton Library will be highlighting our services and collections. This includes highlighting key academic sources for Healthcare students and signposting to resources which support the student journey including our Employability and Wellbeing collections.
