The University of Bolton Library

Wellbeing Collection

Wellbeing

The Library is committed to supporting positive mental health and wellbeing.

In response to the University's Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, we are working with our colleagues in the Life Lounge and developing a student-led collection of wellbeing resources.

The collection will encompass the following areas:

  • books on mental health to support independent and guided self-help approaches
  • books on personal development and achievement
  • inspirational and uplifting books to provide leisure reading for relaxation – novels, biographies and non-fiction

Check back for details of how the collection is developing. In the meantime our Wellbeing Resources reading list has a range of books and links covering mental and physical wellbeing and has been developed in collaboration with Life Lounge staff.

Library Wellbeing Collection - coming soon in 2021

We want our wellbeing collection to be student-led, so we launched a competition during Welcome Week 2021 to seek suggestions from new and returning UoB students.

We're reviewing the suggestions and acquiring books for the collection, which will be based in an area of the Peter Marsh Library. Check back for more details soon!
