Chetham's Library
Chetham's was founded in 1653 and is the oldest public library in the English-speaking world. The Library's collections include early printed books and a wealth of ephemera, manuscript diaries, letters and deeds, prints, paintings and glass lantern slides.
The John Rylands Research Institute and Library
The John Rylands is the centrepiece of the University of Manchester's Special Collections, and promotes research in the humanities and sciences.
Manchester Poetry Library
The core collection of Manchester Poetry Library consists of late 19th, 20th and 21st century poetry in English from around the world.
North West Film Archive
Part of MMU Library, the North West Film Archive is the public home for the moving image heritage of the North West of England.
