Your NSS feedback makes a difference!

The National Student Survey is your chance to say what you think about your course and your experience at the University of Bolton.  Your feedback is really important! It helps us understand what's working well, and what needs to be improved.

While satisfaction with library resources rose during 2021, the NSS scores for performing arts areas were below our benchmark. Working with academic staff at Shockout Arts we've acquired a range of new resources to support performing arts courses:

  • Marquee.TV - a leading streaming service for arts and culture
  • Dance in Video - another streaming video service, this time with with a focus on 20th and 21st century dance
  • The Drama Texts Collection - a collection of 13,000 plays, including some rare and never before published works. It also includes content such as posters, playbills, photos and theatre diagrams.
  • a wide range of brand new ebooks, some of which are highlighted on our newly refreshed Subject Guide for Performing Arts

Feedback from the NSS in 2019 was responsible for us acquiring new resources for creative technologies, including GDC Vault for games courses and Stan Winston Library for special and visual effects.

Your NSS feedback is really important to help us deliver improvements like this! If you are an eligible UoB student, you can complete the NSS via the banner below - it's open until 30 April 2022.

The Library reviews our NSS results on an annual basis, but you can also send us feedback at any time during your studies. Just let us know if you'd like someone to respond to your feedback and a member of library staff will be in touch.
