Processes & Regulations - we can help!


We understand that students have a life outside of their studies and sadly things sometimes happen that can affect, disrupt, or delay submission of assessments or academic progress. Such events may be unexpected or beyond anyone's control, and our Mitigating Circumstances and Appeal processes are there to allow students to submit a request to the University for their difficulties to be considered or recognised, and not be penalised academically.

Both of these processes have been adapted in light of the pandemic restrictions to allow submissions and supporting evidence to be made via email, and the forms and guidance are available via the web links below. However we recognise that students may have further questions in relation to their own particular situation and we encourage any student who needs to discuss Mitigating Circumstances or Appeals to get in touch with the Student Advisor team.
