Whether you are a new student, or just using the Library the first time, you'll find a few simple steps here to get off to a flying start!

Discover and Explore

The Library provides access to a huge range of resources to support your studies. Start searching with Discover@Bolton and explore over 200,000 ebooks, a huge selection of online journals and databases, and print book collections at our library sites.

Check out your Resource List

Resource Lists Online links you to the essential readings for each module. Look for the link in your Moodle sites or search by module name or number here. Your Resource List gives you access to the recommended e-resources such as ebooks, ejournals and databases directly from your module list.

Get off to a flying start with LEAP Online

LEAP Online is designed to support your academic and personal development. It contains information, videos and activities on a range of topics including academic development, digital literacy, personal development and more. Earn digital badges to evidence your skills and achievements!

Using Online Library Resources

You can access the majority of our online Library resources wherever and whenever you want - all you need is your University of Bolton username and password. 

Our Accessing Online Library Resources guide has more information about logging in, as well as answers to frequently asked questions. 

 

Get the Subject Knowledge

Take the Library with you

Access your Library account and find links to key library resources via MyBolton. Download the app for iOS or Android and access the Library wherever you are!

Library Facilities and Services

If you are studying on-campus, you can access study spaces at the Main Campus and the Queen's Technical Building. Find details of our opening hours, study spaces, and facilities such as printing here.
