I began my career in NHS health libraries in 1998 at North Manchester General Hospital, which later became part of the Northern Care Alliance. Since then, I’ve worked across several trusts, including Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience in supporting healthcare professionals, students, and researchers with access to high-quality information and evidence-based resources.

In 2025, I completed a Master’s degree in Library and Information Management, which strengthened my skills in leadership, service development, and strategic planning. This has helped me enhance how library services respond to the evolving needs of users, particularly in healthcare and academic settings.

Now based at Greater Manchester University in Bolton, I support students and academic staff through information skills training and by developing subject-specific guides to help users make the most of the library’s resources. I’m passionate about making information accessible and helping learners build the skills they need to succeed in their studies and future careers.
