Important information on the use of libraries and study spaces
From 3rd September 2021, in line with the latest Government guidance, the University of Bolton will be making important changes to its sector-leading Covid-secure measures.
Please remember when you are on campus to always:
Regularly wash/sanitise hands.
Always enter a building through a heat detector entrance.
Never come to campus if you test positive, are self-isolating or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
We would ask you to continue to wear face coverings and practise social distancing as much as possible to protect yourself and others.
Please also remember to bring your Student ID with you whenever you come onto campus so that you are able to scan in at the entrance, and to ‘check-in’ to your classes using the MyBolton app.
Using the Library
Please enter the Library via the main entrance (off the SLZ) and exit via Library Exit 2.
Social distancing has now ended as per Government advice. However, everyone on campus is encouraged to practise social distancing as much as possible, to help protect others.
It is no longer necessary to book study space before using the Library. Some bookable study spaces will be retained for student convenience: please check back for details.
Face coverings are no longer mandatory but you are encouraged to wear them. They continue to made available by the University. To address any potential anxiety about returning to campus, a supply of clinical face coverings are also available.
