Coronavirus Update: Libary Services are now online only

by Tim Leonard on 2020-03-23T21:55:00+00:00 | 0 Comments

Following the Prime Minister’s Address to the Nation of 23rd March, The University of Bolton Library is moving to online services only with immediate effect. We are keen to emphasise that the Library is not closing. We are taking our services online to best serve the interests and safety of our students and staff.

While the Peter Marsh and Queens Libraries will be closed, the Library will continue to provide access to a wide range of resources and support online. This includes:

  • Access to over 200,000 ebooks and over a million items of academic content, including journal articles, reports, conference proceedings and more via Discover@Bolton

  • Support by email and online chat – our new chat service is embedded in the Library website, guides, and Discover@Bolton and is available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Please visit the Library website for more details: www.bolton.ac.uk/library

Further updates will be issued soon about the status of books on loan from the Library. No student will incur charges as a result of the closure of the Library building.

Please follow the Library on social media for further updates and guidance on how to make the most of online Library resources.
