The Library recently supported the highly successful launch event for the University's IEEE Student Branch. The event was attended by students and staff from the University, as well as representatives of Bolton Council and the Mayor of Bolton, Linda Thomas.
IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) are the world’s largest technical professional association. IEEE publish many of the top ranked journals in Engineering and their database IEEE Xplore is our flagship online resource for Engineering. An IEEE Student Branch gives UoB student members networking and training opportunities with other engineering students and professionals around the globe.
Tim Leonard from the Library spoke about IEEE Xplore at the event. IEEE Xplore is a leading research tool for electrical engineering, computer science and electronics – as well as a growing collection of content related to business, logistics, project management and media.
