March 8th is the annual celebration of International Women's Day, which aims to celebrate women's achievements and raise awareness about women's equality.
This year we are marking the event by sharing a new reading list that highlights the achievements of women in history and shares academic work by The University of Bolton's staff and researchers. It is filled with online resources including eBooks, journal articles, UBIR submissions, and online events about women's history and impact. Each resource has been selected by our academic librarians on their subject interests, including healthcare, engineering, politics, and the arts. All the featured content is viewable online which means you can access it on any PC or mobile device at any time. You can view the reading list here.
Below are a number of streamable films, TV series, and documentaries that are free to view on-demand with a current TV licence. Please note that you may need to sign up with the streaming platform to watch, but this is easy and does not require you to submit any credit card details.
