New international students at the University of Bolton

All students should receive a Library Induction as part of enrolling here at the University. You’ll also meet one of the Academic Librarian team at a University Welcome. Your subject specific Library Induction, takes part of scheduled teaching time so check with your tutor or look on your Moodle page to find out more.

A brilliant place to start exploring Library services is our ‘Get Started’ pages which gives you all the key information on getting started in using our services funnily enough! Though you’ll get a much more detailed introduction as part of your Library induction.  These pages talk about accessing your reading lists through Resource Lists Online and also signposts to your Subject Guide and Discover@Bolton.

If you are studying at one of our partner sites such as Regents College you will find our guide to ‘Accessing Online Resources’ a key resource to support you getting the most out of our digital collections.

On campus? We are open 24/7 in term-time at The Peter Marsh Library, find out more here about accessing our sites and opening times.

Got a specific question? Call into the Library and speak to a member of staff at the Help Desk, or contact us via the Library Chat service or email or phone us.

You can also find a wide range of support on our award winning LEAP Online, where there are tutorials on Research Skills, Referencing, accessing Zoom via your University log in and much much more.

We really hope you enjoy your time here at Bolton and look forward to supporting you in your studies.
