Important update on reservations and fines

by University of Bolton Library on 2021-09-24T17:25:00+01:00 | 0 Comments

The University continues to reintroduce COVID-safe campus-based services, and the following Library services have now been updated.

Peter Marsh Library shelves

Click and Collect

The Library's Click and Collect service has been discontinued. This service was brought in while access to campus was restricted. With the removal of these restrictions on visiting campus the Click and Collect service is no longer available.

You can retrieve books in person and borrow them via our self-service machines at any time during our 24/7 opening. See our Borrowing guide for more details.

If you need physical assistance retrieving library items from the shelves, please speak to a member of staff or contact us about our Additional Learning Support services

Reservations

It is now possible to reserve on loan items again. This service was removed in May 2020, and remained in effect during the period when access to campus was restricted. Please be aware that books you borrow from the library may now be requested by other library users. This will block you from making a renewal: books that have been requested should be returned at the earliest opportunity and by their next due date. See our Renewals guide for more information

Fines

The Library will waive all overdue fines accrued during the pandemic period up until 1st November 2021.

Any overdue fines accrued after that date will be applied. Replacement charges for items that were lost or damaged during the pandemic period will also stand.

If you wish to raise any concerns about potential charges on your library account, please contact us as soon as possible.

Visiting the Library

We ask that all our users keep the library a safe space for students and staff by observing our COVID safe procedures. Its great to be back on campus together - lets continue to stay healthy and safe!
