Ebooks at the University of Bolton

Getting the most out of ebooks

An ebook is just the same as a printed book so treat the content just as you would any other type of book.

Remember that ebooks can be accessed from Discover@Bolton as well as the library catalogue. Some ebook platforms provide extra functionality such as an ability to save items and annotate the text. Take the time to read the "help" sections within ebook platforms.

It is also possible to search within ebooks.

If you are unable to access an ebook, it may be that the maximum number of users have been reached. This is usually apparent from a message within the platform. If you experience this, try again later on.

As with all electronic resources, don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any difficulties accessing anything!

Finding books with Discover@Bolton

Discover@Bolton includes print and electronic books held by the library, as well as giving you an option to search for open access books.

Search by book title, author or keyword.
