Resources brought together by the Life Lounge team

20th May 2020

Welcome to our online Mental Health Awareness event!

We're so excited to make the most of this opportunity to create online resources and links that you can tap into anytime anywhere. Today you can follow our Social Media pages and get involved in activities here that will fill your whole day with kindness. Stuck for time? You can come back whenever you need to.

In some ways this event is even better than usual - you can join us from the comfort of your own home, revisit our pages and take part at your own pace, giving you more flexibility to be a part of it!

We hope you enjoy our event and find the activities useful and informative.

As always, we're keen to hear your feedback to inform future events - drop us an email at lifelounge@bolton.ac.uk to let us know what you think!

We were so happy to hear this years theme is kindness!
A single act of kindness can brighten someone's day! It could even stay with them for longer than that!
The last few weeks have seen so many changes to our normal life and we know every single one of our students deserves kindness right now.

Please use today as a reason to find time to be kind, to yourself and others.

Use #UoBKindness to show us how you're taking part!

Share how you're getting involved with us on Social Media and be entered into a draw to win up to £50 Amazon eVouchers!

Kindness!

Baroness Helen Newlove kindly agreed to introduce our Mental Health Awareness event. She shares with us how kindness has impacted her life, helping her to see through her darkest times.

Thank you!

Pulling together this event has been a challenge for us here at the Life Lounge. We have had to learn new skills quickly and be creative about how we work to make this happen. Katie Foster and Emma Dalling get a special mention as they have worked hard behind the scenes to pull things together. Here is a little video to say thank you to each and every one of you that has helped make this happen, and all of you who have visited. Keep the kindness going, we may not all be in the same boat, but we are all in the same storm.

We are stronger together.

Thank you.
